Regular Market Day Features

Beginner Investor’s (Canadian stocks) Watchlist

The market rally attempt started yesterday faded completely today. The big banks, Bank of Montreal (BMO), Royal Bank of Canada (RY) for example, gave back yesterday’s gains and some more. Suncor Energy (SU), – the owners of Petrol Canada gas stations, is the only stock in our watch list below to finish in green today. The TSX reversed yesterday’s performance today. The market’s choppiness merely took a one-day break. Beginner investors should, for now, trade only with extreme caution and preferably remain in cash. The focus should be the preservation of capital until we can get a confirmed rally from the market.
